2000 Edmunds St. John Los Robles Viejos Rozet Vineyard - USA, California, Central Coast, Paso Robles (4/11/2014)
Lucky Friday! I thought I only had one bottle of this, but I had 2. Opened and immediately poured a glass. Lovely, leathery, bramble infused dark fruit and earth poured out of the glass. Medium bodied, and full of flavor. Delicious now!

No surprise there, David. That was always a pretty nice wine.
Steve was disappointed by the fruit later on that was coming from Rozet, so gave it up. The vnyd was sold to Derby Wnry there in Paso
and I've only had one or two of theirs.
Had lunch w/ Steve a week ago. His new Heart of Gold is very/very nice...such a pretty wine.

My bottles of the new Heart of Gold (plus the rosé and the 2012 Syrah) showed up last week. One will be opened soon.

Lucky me! I still have two bottles left of this wine! I'm torn between drinking them up or making them last at least another year. The last time I opened a bottle of the Rozet was in July and it was as you described it.

No hurry Doug; my experience has been that it's still got plenty of miles to go, though I'd agree, it's fine for current drinking, and may not improve too much more.
I don't know just how I'm supposed to play this scene, but I ain't afraid to learn...
