WTN: 2003 Pride Mountain Cabernet Franc

Nose of smoke, grilled meats, ripe black fruits, tobacco

Tightly structured, with moderate sweet tannin, silky mouthfeel with layer afer layer of red and black fruit, and nice long spicy finish. Delicious. I like this more than the 2004 which I tasted at the winery 2 months ago.

I have a couple of bottles left in my stash and which I think should (and will) be drunk within the next 5 years.

When to drink the Pride Cab Franc depends on what you are hoping to get from it. I am still sitting on some 1995 and 1998. The '95 is just becoming smoky/leathery enough for me to consider drinking it.
