WTN: '05 Jadot '05 Cht de Jacques "Clos de Rochegres" M-a-V

I decided that I should open this now rather than risk "waiting too long". So tonight I opened my only bottle of Louis Jadot's '05 Chateau des Jacques "Clos de Rochegres", Moulin-a-Vent. Based on Cellar Tracker I was worried that I had let this go too long. Boy was I wrong. After an initial "wake-up" it was clearly at its peak. Could easily go longer, but I would not wait to see just how much longer. It is drinking beautifully right now. Surprisingly there was a good bit of sediment, that would suggest a decant, which the wine would benefit from. We had salmon and roasted root vegetables, along with homemade challah bread. This is big time Beaujolais. (91-92 pts). If you are lucky enough to have one of these I would consider opening it now or within the next year.

IMO folks on CellarTracker declare wines over the hill way too young.

The 2009 Jadot Chateau des Jacques M-a-V was quite good, and incredibly young over the weekend. Thankfully I have more, so sacrificing one much too soon was not a big deal.
