Smuttynose Winter Ale. Comes from Portsmouth, NH

Unlike most winter ales this one contains no spices. It is a full-bodied, amber beer brewed with a special Trappist ale yeast. It has fruity aromas and flavor, balanced by soft hops. Warming, mellow & pleasantly complex, a perfect cold weather companion which we need right now!

Last night we matched it with fish chowder and a crusty Brule.
