Bell's Oberon - a very tasty wheat ale from Michigan.

Yes! I am SO glad that Bell's is distributed this far south. Oberon and Two Hearted Ale, among others, are some of our standard "house beers."

Can you get Oberon right now, though, Sam? Hereabouts it seems to be a summer seasonal.

I may be drinking a Spanish red to report on WineBerserker focus or a Zinfandel that is already in my refrigerator. Will have some "Scoops" with nacho sauce and maybe later popcorn or pizza.

Seems like a beer day to me, but I could go wine too.

Either way I think one should be drinking wine or beer from either Washington or Colorado. Or both.

I am planning on opening a 1992 En Tirage Extra Brut from the Russian River Valley. I will be at a neighbor's who actually HAS TV but is not a beer drinker so will open the sparkler. I opened a sparkler or Champagne many times during several football seasons at deer camp when OSU (THE OSU) was playing and it seemed to bring good luck to the Buckeyes! The En Tirage was disgourged in 2009 and is quite nice.

Correct Robin. It is a summer seasonal which is not currently in release. However, a friendly local liquor store owner keeps a stash of the Oberon in the chiller to see a group of local enthusiasts through the winter months. He has done so for the past couple of years. It also helps that he is hosting the super bowl party!

We'll have to see what kind of a mood I'm in but probably a stout - I've got plenty around (Ommegang Take the Black, Great Lakes Blackout Stout, GI Bourbon County, Stone Suede, Rogue Chocolate, Dogfish Head World Wide, Hoppin Frog BORIS the Crusher among others) so lots to choose from :)

If I'm feeling IPA probably going Three Floyds Zombie Dust, Dogfish 60 minute, Rogue Yellow Snow, and some homebrew (unfortunately my oatmeal stout won't be ready for another week :( )

It will be Washington wine! Not sure what yet, though.

They are not crying in their Trousseau or Arneis? Crying AFWE tears?

I'll probably have a Syrah. Either that or Bourbon.
