Manage to get through one glass but not impressed at all. Who are they trying to kid?

Kim Marcus, Wine Spectator

Rating: 90

A hint of orange peel to the lively dried raspberry, date and green fig flavors, which hang together with the support of vibrant acidity and medium-grained tannins. Complex and savory, with an alluring finish of sandalwood. Xinomavro. Drink now. 27,778 cases made. Wine Spectator's #69 Wine of the Year for 2013.

What was wrong with the wine? Did you find any of the detailed notes from that TN?!

Orange peel 0/10
Raspberry 0/10
Date 0/10
Fig 0/10
Vibrant acidity Vibrant????
Medium grained tannins Some but very unpleasant finish, astringent on day 2.
Complex. Maybe 3/10

Like my notes this geezer did not mention any fruit that was discernible.

Verdict complete bust. I really do not know why some of us bother with this Ws Top 100. Rahsaan, you and I could put together a much better list. In fact I would enrole David B and Salil to add extra enlightenment . .

You could call it The Parsons Profile and charge $59.99 per year for the subscription!
