I was lucky enough to shoot a wild wabbit on our recent outing and therefore opened a 2009 Mario Perelli-Minetti Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir that had been previously opened a week before but immediately recorked. This was a match made in heaven with the very mild wabbit and the extremely smooth P.N.with slightly earthy cherry flavors. At %15.1 abv it was not at all hot. I am still in love with Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir but this wine lacked the massive earthy-ness of the 2009 Failla Hirsch I had a year ago which I can still vividly remember. I'll keep looking.

Glad to know you are a Sonoma Coast PN convert, Jim. I find some of them very attractive wines, although more often less than 15% alcohol by volume.
