Tried this w/ dessert at are BBB's Xmax dinner Thurs:
1. Ch.Filhot AC:Sauternes (MeBaC; 14%) ComtesseDurieu de LaCarelle nee Lur-Saluces/Comte H.de Vaucelles/Sauternes 1979: Med.dark gold color w/ no browning; somewhat herbal/SB/dusty/wet pavement/Kansas haymow light caramel/creme brulee/butterscotch bit smokey/tobaccoy light botrytis/peachy quite complex aromatic nose; quite tart/lean slightly off-dry strong creme brulee/butterscotch some pencilly/tobaccoy very light botrytis/peachy quite complex flavor; very long/lingering tart/lean/off-dry slight earthy/wet pavement/chalky/herbal rather buttery/butterscotch/creme brulee some smokey/tobaccoy light peachy/botrytis quite complex finish; quite a bit dried-out & not much botrytis but a beautiful/complex old Sauternes; not a good match for a dessert but needs foie gras rillettes. $6.99
