South Africa. Screw cap. 12.5% abv. Pale straw color with transparency. Pungent nose with citrus accents (grapefruit and lemon.) On the palate, the acid is in tension with a slight sweetness. Grapefruit flavor asserts itself on the tastebuds. I chose this wine as one of my Thanksgiving offerings but only had a quick taste before moving on to the Morgon Beaujolais Cru and a Williams Selyem Pinot Noir. Others at the dinner seemed to like it. Tonight I had the wine with turkey tettrazini and it seemed to pair quite well. I find I go from really liking it to feeling so-so about it but it is a pretty good QPR and lower alcohol than some of the 14% and higher wines I've been drinking. I also like the Paul Cluver Chardonnay.
