WTN: Indian (yes, from India) Syrah

by David M. Bueker » Wed Dec 11, 2013 9:35 pm

So last night I braved the unknown and tried an Indian Syrah at my hotel bar in Bangalore. It was produced by some Seagram's venture. 2013 nine hills Syrah was actually quite palatable, just not what one expects from Syrah. I think it might have been a partial carbonic fermentation, as it had that ultra-fruity juiciness, and came off as a sort of Nouveau styled wine. Weird, but very drinkable after one gets over the fact that it doesn't taste like "normal" Syrah

"Normal" is just a setting on the dryer.
Chico - Hey! This Bottle is empty!
Groucho - That's because it's dry Champagne.

Tell that to your kid when she just showed a body temp reading 5 degrees over "normal."
