WTN: 2008 Beaucastel

My bottle, and very different from the bottle neighbor Mike shared last summer. Where Mike's had no secondary development and had lighter red fruit in the raspberry realm, mine showed black cherry fruit with a little bit of maturing pruniness. Mind you, I'd actually eaten some prunes a few hours earlier so that flavor suggested itself easily enough, but the difference between Mike's bottle and this tasted more like six years than six months. Bottle variation or provenance? Mine was a recent purchase (from JJ Buckley).

Sounds more like provenance.
