1999 Willi Schaefer Graacher Domprobst Riesling Spätlese - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer (11/22/2013)
Still shows quite a bit of fresh fruit, alongside subtle smoke and not so subtle mineral elements. The sweetness is very well balanced by the acidity. Very drinkable right now, and not going anywhere soon. This appears to be on something of an early maturity plateau.

2005 Nicolas Potel Morey St. Denis Vieilles Vignes - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Morey St. Denis (11/22/2013)
Deep, dark fruit, but also a notable amount of band-aid and horse sweat. Shows more like a Southern Rhone than Burgundy.
