WTN: 2009 Donkey and Goat Fernaughty

by Brian K Miller » Mon Nov 18, 2013 11:37 am

Shared with my friend John Chandler Saturday night.

Dark in color. 14.1% abv, but no obvious heat. Not as aromatic as many D&G wines, I am thinking this bottle was in a bit of a closed down state, but as the night went on, it did open up more. classic warm climate syrah, leather, blueberry, shoe polish??? Sounds weird, but that is more the fault of my tasting notes than the wine. I consitently enjoy Donkey and Goat syrahs.
