2012 Weingut Spreitzer Winkeler Jesuitengarten Riesling Kabinett halbtrocken - Germany, Rheingau (11/17/2013)
This is a lovely dinner wine. There's just the barest bit of sweetness, but with the acidity it finishes dry. Peach skin and sweet herbs are layered over deep minerality. There's a bit of phenolic bite (see the peach skin element) that suggests a year or so in the cellar will only make this more attractive. Then there is the $14.99 price-one of the best values I have come across in a long time.
