Bandol

What do you like to eat with it? I'm grilling some loin lamb chops tomorrow. I have a 2004 Domaine du Gros that I would like to serve, but I have the feeling, a 2003 Jamet Cote Rotie would be the better match. Any thoughts?

I think lamb chops would be fine. I generally treat a Bandol similarly to a CdP (or at least a Mouvedre heavy CdP). Grilled meats work well. If you want to go for the local vibe, maybe accompany with a tapenade or serve on ratatouille.

Yeah, grilled lamb would be my first choice for pairing with Bandol. Other recipes found within Lulu's Provençal Table would be good.

It worked great with the lamb chops. I opened 3 very good wines with dinner last night, and hope to post notes later on all of them.

Thanks for the encouragement, Dale, and I even included tapenade crostini along with the lamb.
