13.5% abv. The best of four bottles of different wines I picked up at Trader Joe's in Raleigh two years ago. That's not saying a lot because I really didn't like the other wines. This one was acceptable in my view. Deep purple color with crimson rim; opaque.
Tastes of sweet cherries along with the dried fruit notes from the ripasso method. Some soft tannins on the finish. Leaves a sweet-sour sensation with ripe fruit flavors and a tartness coming together.

We enjoyed a bottle of this one from the same source, albeit a local store. We matched it with lamb shanks and linguini and a salad still made with our own lettuce.

Another tonight with our cow free Lasagna. Fantastic on both the wine and the food!
