Champagne Cuvée Elia 1er Cru Charlot-Tanneux

Totally unknown to me. Tasted with a friend, owner of a nice enoteca in the center of the city. He had to decide about selling this label.
100% Chardonnay. Vinification and aging in wood. This bottle is a NV but the cuvée is from a single year and is possible to know the year looking at the cork. This was 2008.
I read on their website that the tirage of this cuvée is made with a normal cork, not crown cap + bidule.
Beautiful colour, light gold, brilliant. Fine bubbles. Interesting and elegant nose of panbrioche, dried leaves, hazelnuts and lees. In the mouth a tasty mix of minerals, dried fruits and developed notes. Long with a lovely soft creaminess. Excellent. Good QPR (less than € 35). To the shelf!
