WTN: 2006 Williams Selyem Central Coast Pinot Noir

13.9% abv. Some raspberry and wild berry notes in the flavors. A bit herbal also. Improved on the second evening, less wild, smoother, with rich, dark-fruited flavors. A savory underpinning that I savored. A sense of extracted material but present in a good way. On the second evening it outperformed my expectations.

At those prices it eases my conscience when I buy village & 1st Cru Burgundy for $25-$35. I would love to taste Selyem when someone else is buying, but the alcohol is still a "turn-off" for me. Just my preference.

Where do you find Premier Cru Burgundy for $35?
