Tried this last night w/ dinner:

Cochon Syrah MassaRanch/NapaVlly (130 cs; 97% Syrah/3% Viog; 14.5%; www.OdiseaWineCo.com) AdamWebb/MikeKuenz/Napa 2007: Very dark color w/ slight bricking; strong blackberry/boysenberry/black cherry/Syrah some licorice/pungent/DrPepper/spicy quite fragrant nose; soft bit tannic/hard/astringent strong blackberry/black cherry/Syrah some pungent/peppery/Rhonish/DrPepper/spicy rather angular flavor; long spicy/pungent/DrPepper/peppery strong blackberry/black cherry/Syrah slight tarry/earthy/graphite somewhat hard/tannic finish; quite a good NapaVlly Syrah buut may be starting to dry out some & doubtful future. $30.00

1. Cochon is the other label used by Adam & Mike at Odisea wines. They make some very interesting wines...many coming from Lodi grapes. I'm not a big fan of up-vlly/vlly floor NapaVlly Syrahs. This is one of the better ones I recall.
