I just bought 2 bottles of 2005 Darting Durkheimer Nonnengarten Rieslaner Auslese for $14 per bottle. I love Darting wines but could find no info on winesearcher or cellartracker about this wine. I assume it is a med-long keeper, at least 15 years but am not sure with Rieslaner. Any advice/opinions would be appreciated.

I've only had the 2001 (last in 2010) and the 1995 (in 2003). Great bargains. I think the 01 had plenty of life left, but drank well. The 2001 was probably a 15+ year wine. But 2005 was a very big and different vintage. If you had 2 I'd open one in next year or two to make decision re other.

Medium term only. I would drink up by 2015 or so. They have not duplicated the 2001 in a long time.
