Tried these two wines w/ Susan this weekend:
1. Domaine des Senechaux AC: CdP Blanc (14%; MeBaD) J.M.Cazes/CdP 2009: Light yellow/gold color; somewhat honeyed/perfumed talc/stony light apply/floral/apple blossom/spicy/apple pie fairly fragrant Marsanne nose; slightly tart stony/chalky/perfumed talc/minera; light appley/Marsanne fairly rich/ripe/lush flavor; med.long bit tart/austere rather stony/chalky/pperfumed talc slight appley/Marsanne/honeyed finish; a pleasant enough typical CdP Blanc but just that; not up to the Qupe Marsanne level. $45.00 (SFW&S)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Odisea: This is an operation up in Napa that sources grapes from a number of areas...but mostly from Lodi. Because of a KansasCity connection (AdamWebb used to be in KC...seems a lot of good folks come from KC), I discovered their wines some 3-4 yrs ago on a trip back there. The wines are solid/well-made and pretty interesting. Good folks.
Tom
