2012 Fields Family Rose (Lodi...Pinot Noir). Refreshing and savory take on Rose, with nice strawberry fruit. Very elegant!

Damn this is a fine take on Cabernet Franc! Certainly has a touch of the bell pepper characteristics of the grape, but with deep, rich, tobacco overlaying the cassis fruit. Really elegant and enjoyable mouth feel, fine grained. Went really well with the paella, believe it or not! I sat next to the rep from percy Selections at Terroir Wine Bar in SF and he gave me a taste...I'm glad he did. These wines supposedly age well, too!
