Piper Heidsieck Brut Rose Sauvage NV

Color: Pinkish orange.

Nose: Yeast and canned meat.

Taste: Burnt toast with a hint of stawberry and some chalk dust. This champagne is bone dry. The extended finish was very bitte,r bordering on unpleasant.

I had high hopes for this champagne but I have to admit that it was a disappointment. It definitely could have used a touch of sweetness to mitigate the harshness a bit.
