2001 Joh. Jos. Christoffel Erben Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Spätlese - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer (5/5/2013)
Drinking exceptionally well right now. There's some developed elements (creamy/smoky) along with quite a lot of primary fruit. The balance is such that the sweetness disappears on the finish. Overall just delightful.

David, I think I have the previous vintage of this--2000. Ready to drink?

Not David, but I would think so. I don't know the particular wine but many 2000s were soft and some were declining in attractiveness a few years ago. But, I don't know the particular wine.
