Tried this last night in our last meal afore Susan head's off for a month of hiking around Turkey:
1. Novy Chard RRV (13.5%) 2011: Med.light gold color; attractive melony/lemony/Chard bit spicy/nutmeg light vanilla/oak nose; slightly tart light lemony/melony/Chard/spicy/nutmeg light vanilla/pencilly/oak flavor; med.long spicy/lemony/melony/Chard light pencilly/vanilla/oak finish; a rather pretty Chard at a great price. $16.00

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. I have, of course, followed the Novy white wines from the very start. They have not, to my taste, been as excellent as Adam's Pinots, across the board. They oftentimes have been on the underacid side, sometimes just rather fat & porky, particularly the Viogniers. This Chard had enough acidity to it to make it a much more interesting wine...maybe the best Chard from Adam yet. Though certainly not a profound Chard, it was rather a pretty Chard and just mighty fine drinking. Sometimes that's all you're looking for.
