NYTimes: Asimov on Valle d'Aosta

A rather nice/informative article in today's NYTimes by Eric on the wines of Italy's Valle d'Aosta:

One of my favorite areas but wish there were more available here. Not ever found a Nebbiolo from that area.

All those look quite intriguing - I may have to ask our local Rosenthal distributor to bring some in, if they haven't already planned to. It's hard to find wines from Valle d'Aosta here...in fact, I can't recall when I have seen one in a local shop. :?

Nice to see some comments about this lovely region. We stayed there for 5 days in September 2012, fantastic region.

At The Square in London there was recently a Aosta tasting with more than 20 different wines and 16 people who enjoyed themself for lunch..

I have one bottle of Pinot Noir from the region (forgetting the name, but it is Rosenthal) and I Google Street Viewed the location. STUNNING.

Never tasted wine from there, but the Fontina, spectacular (again, I no longer eat it, since I can't find it kosher).
