2000 Úri Borok Tokaji Aszúeszencia (top-class sweet wine from Hungary, extremely rare)
Alc 7.1% vol. I think this must have significantly more than 200 grams of residual sugar per litre.
Deep amber gold in color. Silent on the nose at current stage, some delicate scent of fermented tea leaves, dried apricot and tobacco.
Amazing viscosity, unleashing merciless power on the palate. Tons of glycerine, dried fruits, sweet pear, caramel, herbal/floral notes, iron, deep, smoky minerality. Very long finish leaving a purified, refreshed palate despite all its weight and concentration.
- My personal rating: 94/100.
Cheers, Rainer
