Mark Chien, Pennsylvania state viticulturist writes:

He didn't write that, Paul B did!
The article reflects many of my sentiments and experiences. I'm have a bottle of Presque Isle Noiret (from PA) and am waiting for the opportunity to open it. When tasted at the winery, it was very Syrah-like. I have Vidal, Traminette, Vignoles, Cayuga and Chambourcin vines planted in my back yard (hoping for an '08 estate bottling). I visited a friend's local winery (Chiappoe Cellars) this past summer to drop off my wines for a local home wine competition. During the 1 hour visit (chatting, tasting, etc.) three customers came in at various times. They each just came in, bought a case of off-dry or sweet labrusca and left. They knew what they wanted.
Thanks for posting Bob. 8)
