Now begins the endless rehashing of the list, wines that did not make it, prices, effects, critics, spelling and heaven knows what else. I just don't share your sense of relief. :?

I thought it was well-known that all the best wines have no need to be considered in competitions :) 8)

There's nothing objectively wrong with any of the top 10. They may not be specific people's cup of tea, but it's a pretty good list.

WS is a commercial mag that makes money. The ire that gets attached to their list escapes me. They are not trying to cater to a geek crowd. A list of 10 Beujolais and Sancerre would destroy their readership base faster than you can say carbonic maceration.
