If you like high acid, high mineral Rieslings with great balance and finesse - as I do - then this is a can't-miss wine.

2011 Weiser-Künstler Trabener Gaispfad Riesling Kabinett Trocken
Fascinating leafy, peppery, sage, and apricot-tinged nose. Delicate, round, bone dry; nicely balanced, with really nice acidity. The red slate is the real star here – pure, vivid, spicy, saline, and precise, leading to a backdrop of white peaches, bay leaves, and dried flowers. Excellent+ - this is about as good as it gets for lighter weight dry Riesling.

Andrew, a Mosel producer I have never seen up here in AB. Sure sounds like a wine I might enjoy say a couple of years down the road! Right now, I still have some enamel on my teeth!

Andrew: I just finished off a bottle of Weiser-Künstler's 2011 Gaispfad Kabi trocken last night. It improves even more with air. I tasted it over three evenings. It goes through phases. I've drunk several bottles now. The style might be too dry or sharp for some, but I find it pure and delicious.
