Pretty good average cheap CalCab

by John Treder » Sat Nov 11, 2006 11:39 pm

I opened a bottle of St. Francis CS '00 tonight, for spaghetti tonight and marinated cheap steak tomorrow.

Pretty good stuff, actually, and very good indeed for $12.99.

Good typicity, a bit of herb, a touch of tannin, not noticeably alcoholic and withal well-balanced. I'd been rather underwhelmed by a few previous bottles, but this one really hit the spot on a rather gray evening here in Silly Valley.
