Wellington "Victory" 2004

60% Cab Sauv, 25% Cab Franc, 15% Merlot.
When I bought this at the winery in Glen Ellen in July '07, I noted, "Give it two or three years."
Last night I had almost finished some remaking the back yard, so I celebrated with a nice King salmon filet, creamed baby new potatoes and sauteed summer squash.
I like reds with salmon, and so I opened this bottle. Really excellent Cab blend. Strong structure, not overripe, some woodsy/mushroomy flavors. If I had another bottle, it'd have years left.
14.4% alcohol, Sonoma County, $40 at the winery.
