Wines from dinner.
Gunderloch Nackenheimer Rothenberg Riesling Spatlese 2003 - I never tire of this wine. Sweet and fresh with flavors of peach and apricot. Really nice with the scallops.
Pio Cesare Barbaresco Il Bricco 2000 - Very dark. Medium to full-bodied. Bitter chocolate, dried fruit, caramel. Very concentrated, young, Long finish. Very good potential here and really needs to be cellared another 5 years or so before trying again
Mission Hill Winery Late Harvest Riesling 2002 - From the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia. Somewhere between auslese and beerenauslese level sweetness. Burnt sugar, orange marmalade. Good balance and long finish. Not a complex wine but enjoyable anyway.
Chocolate souffle for dessert paired with a fantastic Macallan 18 year old single malt. Best single malt I've ever had.
