WTN:Domaine Jacky Marteau Sauvignon Touraine 2011

Loire

Light yellow in the glass.

Rich, tangy, gooseberry on the nose.

Medium weight, gooseberry dominating initially to be replaced by intense peach, light lemon, rather viscous in the mouth, drying, rich, almost soft in the mouth, some acidity but softer than I am accustomed to with SB.

Lightly mouthwatering on the finish.

A different style of SB for me (softer, with less intense acidity) but I greatly enjoyed it.

Purchased at $12.95 (Canadian) and a great QPR.

Sounds a lot better than my entry level Touraine SB from Marionnet. I guess that his more up-market cuvées are better.
