You're missing a colon in the URL in your link, Tom (better miss that colon than the other one, though! )

Quotidian, like you said Tom. The tasting panel seemed too restrictive in what they wanted to include in their line up. A article on Anderson Valley Pinot, without a passing nod to Elke or even Handley seems grossly inadequate. As far as value is concerned, my wallet said that the $19.00 Anderson Valley Pinot from Navarro delivers the best QPR. I havent tasted the AntHill wine to be completely objective. Oh yeah, and the Drew wine they selected is from Mendocino Ridge AVA and not Anderson Valley.

Tom,
I find three fairly discernable growing areas in Anderson Valley.
Booneville area which I think may be too hot for Pinot to do well every year although other grapes do well most years. Deep End, which ripens Pinot well about every fourth year, and then around Philo which I think of as the sweet spot in the Valley for Pinot.
I have grapes in this area, just north of Navarro, and am looking forward to this harvest which promises to be both large and healthy - assuming the rain stays away.
Best, Jim
