Question on Tribouley and a nice QPR Italian wine

by Tom Troiano » Fri Sep 14, 2012 5:36 pm

Can anyone tell me anything about Tribouley Orchis? I bought a couple of bottles of 2010 today. Should this be cellared? What should I expect?

I have a 2009 Fattoria Le Terrazze Rosso Conero in my glass. I very nice QPR wine at $13. Very purple. Bread dough, cherries and anise on the nose. Medium body with cherries, raspberries and licorice on the palate. Very elegant for the price.

I don't know much. I have a single bottle of 2006 Les Bacs that i am sitting on. Everything I have read about that wine is that it needs more time. I don't know if this is normal or unique to this bottling. The few Gauby's that I have had all seemed like they should have sat longer so if forced to guesss I would think best at 7-12 years after vintage.
