The 1994 Grand Puy Lacoste is in a great place right now, if you own any; it shows good improvement over our last bottle just a year ago. Drinks beautifully on first pour and stays just like that all night, so though I'd suggest it's at peak additional cellar specimens should hold here awhile. Though many 94's are rather austere, the medium-bodied GPL is a bit more giving with classic Paulliac cedar and graphite, lively but maturing fruit on the mid-palate and a long finish.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
