Tried these last night w/ my risotto al forno:
1. Avis de Vin Fort Clairet AC: Bourgueil CabFranc (12%) Catherine et Pierre Breton/Restigne 2009: Light red slight bricking color; rather earthy/dusty quite unclean/bretty slight herbal/CabFranc nose w/ little fruit; light very tart slight tannic/austere rather bretty/barnyardy/unclean slight herbal/CabFranc quite earthy/mushroomy/damp root cellar flavor; med.long hard/austere/tannic rather bretty/barnyardy tart slight herbal/CabFranc finish; speaks lightly of herbal/CabFranc, lots of earthy/dusty but way too unclean/bretty for my taste. Overpriced at $24.00

2. Numero 3 III Rosado de Monastrell Dd'O: Bullas/Murcia/Espana (100% Monastrell; 13.5%) Carlos Bieler/Sausalito 2011: Light salmon/copper color; strong watermelon/plummy/cranberry light saline/earthy/mineral bit spicy attractive nose; soft attractive plummy/cranberry/watermelon spicy/earthy flavor; med.short soft plummy/watermelon/cranberry/cherry some earthy/spicy slight tangy/grapefruity finish; a pleasant rose but just that. Fairly priced at $9.00 (Prima IlC)
