OldFolks on WLDG.....

by TomHill » Sat Aug 18, 2012 2:11 pm

Our very own SteveEdmunds turns 65 tomorrow (Sunday). Time for social security to kick in I suppose.
Congrats, Steve. Let me tell you...65 doesn't look so bad in the rear view mirror!!

Happy birthday to Steve! I sure as hell can't figure out what happened ... I distinctly remember all the Baby Boomers agreeing never to age past 30. You can't trust people older than that, you know ...

I emember Steve's 60th and the celebration in that Bizerkeley park. Five years ago? I have to look back at Tom Hill now that makes me ancient. I'd hold my breath thinking about time but I'm afraid it would be my last.

Carl: maybe that's why I tend to like the wines you recommend Knapp chard , for example

Happy Birthday, Steve. On this forum, when you read someone's post, there's no way to tell how old the author is - everyone is still 30!

I turned over leaf # 74 back on 8/7. Told Steve H-BD on FB, but heck 65 is such a special one I'll say it again. Happy B-D Steve. Now, what is that 2011 BJ pink like?

thanks for all the attention, everybody. Cornelia and I went for an extremely challenging hike in the Santa Cruz mountains yesterday (we didn't know what we were getting ourselves into.); we did fine, but sure felt the climb. Then we went to Café Rouge in Berkeley and sat at the bar (best seats in the house) and had a great dinner, with rather copious amounts of wine. Not more than 20 yards from our front door, at about 10pm, I misstepped, where the sidewalk meets the parking strip, rolled my right ankle, and went down in a heap. I was so relaxed as I fell, that I bounced right up again, embarrassed mostly for having frightened my wife. I have a slightly sprained right ankle this morning, to mark the occasion. (I feel lucky to be alive!) Here's to all of you!

Wow. I was told not to trust anyone over 60, they're the establishment!

But happy birthday to all!
