WTN: Reaping what you Sorella

by David M. Bueker » Fri Aug 17, 2012 8:17 am

2001 Andrew Will Sorella
Given reports I had previsously received I was not expecting great things from this Washington wine. Maybe it was low expectations, but this was tasty. Dark red and black Cabernet fruit, some wood (but not splinters) and a decently long, rich finish. Only quibble was a touch of heat on the finish, but it really wasn't much. Good stuff.

Funny note - according to CellarTracker, the varietal composition is 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 7% Petit Verdot. I wonder what the other 40% is???
