2009 Rhys Pinot Noir Alpine Vineyard
Unfortunately this wine is irresistable. Deliciously fruity, while remaining restrained. Not so much elegant as just really well put together. I did pick up a little bit of wood, but nothing to distract from the aromatics/flavors coming from the fruit. A little tough on the back end, but if I had any patience I could let my last bottle rest and see if it smooths out a bit with time. Yeah...right...like that's gonna happen.
