Last December a New Hampshire State Liquor Store in Portsmouth moved from one place in a small shopping center to another location in the same center. In the course of the move 300 cases of wine valued at $100, 000.00 disappeared. It has not to this day been determined whether it was an actual loss or a “paper loss.” Just two weeks ago all this got up channeled and it got channeled all the way up to governor’s office. Needless to say there is finger pointing going on all over the place. It just goes to show how bureaucracy works when the state RUNS the liquor business rather than just controlling it!

Carl" Are you claiming that large private corporations involved in running the alcohol business (or any other) never "lose" product? really?

So the missing wines had an average value of just under $30 per bottle, meaning all in all some pretty nice stuff was involved. Hope someone's enjoying it!

This was ONE outlet, and they lost $100K. In this neck of the woods it doens't happen very much.

I’m not sure if this is what Carl is talking about. But what I find strange is that an auditor from the audit division of the State’s Liquor Authority found the “undocumented” 300 cases of wine back in December. Couple of days after the “discovery” it disappeared. A few days after the “disappearance” the enforcement division of the State’s Liquor Authority conducts an investigation. Months later it’s “finding” are reported, with no indication of what happen to the 300 cases of wine.
