Wednesday Chat

We are getting paltry participation in chat on both Wednesdays and Sundays. We need to decide if it is worth the effort to even post these notices! For those of you who may have forgotten, we get started around 9:30 PM for those of us on the east coast, 8:30 PM for those of you in Chicago and 9:30 in other parts of fly over country. I guess that means 6:30 PM on the left coast. If my calculations are correct everyone in NZ needs to join us at 1:30 PM Thursday and Australia at 11:30 AM on Thursday afternoon for those in Sydney and eastern Oz. It will be an ungodly 4:30 AM in Israel and Helsinki, 3:30 AM in Paris, and Berlin, and 2:30 AM in London. Of course it is all worth the sleep deprivation. Come in early and see who is here. Don't be late!!!!! (I hope I have the time changes down.If not, let me know!)

I tried to enter but was told I am not Java enabled.

you might have to use IE, Chef. I kept getting that message with Firefox.

I logged in ok through Firefox, but alas, all had gone .... missed by that much .... to paraphrase Maxwell. Perhaps next week?

What my version of Firefox did was to shut off Java because it had flagged the current Apple implementation of the JRE (Java Runtime Engine) as being out of date and vulnerable to exploits. (The problem is that Apple hasn't released a more current version of the JRE). I had to manually tell Firefox to use Java in spite of its vulnerability to get to the Chat room.
