WTN: Langa Centenaria Garnacha 2008

by Bruce Hayes » Sat Jul 14, 2012 6:37 pm

DO Calatayud
Bodegas Langa Hnos

A blend of 90% Garnacha and 10% Garnacha Tintorera

Very dark purple in the glass.

Rich, blueberry, blackberry, spicy, tobacco on the nose.

Medium weight, tangy, tarry, black cherry, spicy, drying, red licorice with a firm and bitter backbone.

Mouthwatering finish.

Purchased at $13.95 (Canadian).

An okay wine, but the hardness and bitterness turned me off.
