I consumed several bottles of this 2001 Burklin-Wolf Estate Riesling, what I would have usually called a QBA, a number of years ago and found to be screamingly acidic. I set one aside to blend with a flabby German Riesling when found and that never happened. Down to my last few German table Rieslings, I opened this tonight with grilled chicken thighs and was delightfully pleased with the evolution. Very nice peach flavors dominated but there was still a very good acidity to balance. I never expected the acidity to mellow out so nicely! ABV of %12. No vineyard designated.
