WTN: Sundial Riesling

No, not that Sundial, this one:

2001 Selbach-Oster Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett
Pale to medium gold color. Lively aromas of candied lemon, lightly baked apple and smoky rocks (think campfire ring). Still more than a little sweet, but the vibrant acidity keeps it refreshing and cleans up the long finish, such that the lingering perception is much drier than the initial attack. The emergence of the baked apple and smoke elements have me thinking this is pretty mature, but it shows no signs of heading downhill any time soon, as it's still very bright and focused.

Of course as a German wine lover I knew what you were drinking before I opened the thread. And the wine sounds great.

But what other sundial were you thinking of? Is this another of those classic rock references? :D

Fetzer had a Sundial label at one time.
