DO Catalunya

A blend of Garnacha, Carignan and Syrah.

Dark red in the glass.

Earthy, smoky, baked notes, spicy on the nose.

Medium weight, floral, dried cherry, good acidity, chocolate, roasted notes, a little tangy, with a not-unplesant bitter bite.

Mouthwatering finish.

A comforting and delicious wine that went well with hambrugers in June but I can also see working with a hearty stew on a cool November evening.

Purchased at $15.95 (Canadian).
