One of the ironies which Jancis does not address is that Alsace seems to be drifting sweetwards while the Germans are (re)discovering dry. I hope that the Alsatians realise that this is a false route commercially. It would also be nice if more than a handful of their producers gave sweetness/dryness information on their labels :evil: .

Nice enough article, though the one-liner on Austria misses a chance to expand on an important point. If you want reliably dry Riesling, then Austria is really your place.
