WTN: Meinklang Gruner Veltliner 2010

by Bruce Hayes » Wed Jun 27, 2012 8:45 am

Burgenland
Michlits Werner

Bright yellow in the glass.

peppery, light lemon rind on the nose.

Medium weight, tangy acidity, lemon, a hint of grapefruit and perhaps some orange, peppery, juicy but with a core of pleasing bitter lemon rind, clean and refreshing.

Light lemon rind on the mouthwatering finish.

Quite nice.

Screwcap closure.

Purchased at $15.95 (Canadian).

I have a few bottles of Pinot Noir from Meinklang. I will probably open one this fall.

Thanks for the heads up, Bruce. I must look for this one.

I've got quite a soft spot for Central Europe and GV.
