Jean-Claude Lapalu, Cote de Brouilly, 2009
Yes, it's from a ripe year. Still, shouldn't gamay taste like gamay? The color is deeply dark, almost young Bordeaux-like. The flavors plummy and cassis, plump and round, sweet and plush. 14%. Tastes more like a Cote du Rhone than a Beaujolais. B+ for drinkability but a B- for tipicite.
